From Surviving to Thriving

From Surviving to Thriving

Poppies.

They grow where you don’t always expect them.
Vulnerable, yet strong.
They move with the wind without losing their place.

That is what work and life often ask of us: the ability to adapt without losing ourselves.

From Surviving to Thriving

In a world where workload is high and expectations keep rising, many people lose touch with what truly matters. We keep going, solve problems, juggle responsibilities—but somewhere along the way, an essential question fades:

Why am I doing this?

As I explore in my book Doing What Matters – Resilient Working with ACT, work is not only a source of pressure, but also a source of meaning and growth.

The difference is not always in what you do, but in how you do it—and whether it aligns with your values.

The Power of ACT: Making Space and Choosing

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you to:

make space for difficult thoughts and feelings
step out of automatic patterns
consciously choose what truly matters

It is not about control or perfection, but about psychological flexibility—the ability to stay present and act in line with what matters, even when it is difficult.

Like a poppy: not rigid, but resilient.

Why We Get Stuck

Many people get stuck because they:

keep going without recovery
live on autopilot
make choices driven by pressure rather than values

In my book, I show how to break these patterns—not by working harder, but by seeing differently.

Learning in Motion: E-Learning

Would you like to put this into practice?

Alongside the book, an e-learning program has been developed in which you will learn step by step:

what your values are
how to deal with stress and pressure
how to take small, meaningful steps in work and life

Not theory to memorize, but skills to experience.

Pause for a moment.

Let expectations, demands, judgments, and “shoulds” simply pass by.

Ask yourself:
What truly matters to me—today?

Then take one small step in that direction.
