Fully Embracing the Here and Now

Fully Embracing the Here and Now

Some days accumulate in meaningful effort. Today was one of them.

I worked intensively on the English translation of my e-learning. At the same time, I finalized the last details of my webshop in preparation for May 1. And I immersed myself in the third, revised edition of my book, set for release on September 1.

Three trajectories. Three moments of dedication. Three ways of creating something that truly matters.

And yet… all of this stands in stark contrast to the world around us.

A world where uncertainty prevails. Where respect is no longer a given. Where it sometimes feels as though human lives are losing their value within the greater whole.

That touches me.

It brings to mind an image: a fly in a room. Restlessly buzzing, constantly in motion—unaware of what is to come. Until, suddenly and without warning, a fly swatter brings its existence to an end.

A confronting image.

What do we, as human beings, do with that awareness?

Do we wait for the end to arrive?
Or do we choose to be fully present in the moment we still have?

For me, the answer is becoming increasingly clear.

I choose to be present.
To fully engage with what is here, now.
To direct my attention, energy, and talent toward what I can contribute.

Not out of naivety, but as a conscious choice in a world that is anything but certain.

This is what we truly hold in our hands:
how we experience this moment—and what we choose to do with it.

I choose engagement.
Creation.
Meaning.

I choose the here and now.

What do you choose?
